Hi, Lisa Leonard Dalton here. You know me as the “Sloopy Girl” dancer. People often ask me when I filmed the Sloopy dance. That video came out in Europe in 1975. Rick Derringer had been the front man with his group the McCoys and they had hit big with “Hang on Sloopy” in 1965. But when I danced at MGM Hollywood in 1975, Rick was updating the song with a trendy at the time reggae style. Many of the online videos of my dance, unfortunately, are labeled as 1960s and they also have the wrong  music track. Here at my website and at my YouTube channel I will set the record straight. We have made lots of progress in that regard since I first revealed my identity as the Sloopy Girl dancer in the fall of 2021. Thanks…..Lisa
